  Thallus off-white to ash-grey, smooth, dull. Ascomata scattered, sessile, sulcate, straight, curved or sinuous, often branched (sometimes intricately), with a thalline margin, 1–4 mm long, 0.1–0.2 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 100–120 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, transversely 8–10-locular, 26–38 × 5–6 µm, I+ blue.
CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected.
     
  An uncommon, corticolous species in Qld and N.S.W.; also in Brazil and India.
